I'm not sure about "most", its relatively new amongst currently popular frameworks.

Assuming I understand correctly that the script execution time figures he provides are for the angular-seed app, what _is_ insane is how much time is spend executing JavaScript for what is a very simple application.

By having a framework which is very large and contains a lot of code in the first place, you then have a lot of work to do to try and recover from that volume.

Angular guys are perfect in giving features like template compilation cool names like AOT to make buzz. But actually most FW has AOT already then. Nothing special to be excited about. Don't stick to their glue just because of this and remember how terrible they failed with 1.x.
