If you get the chance it's interesting to compare Stonehenge (well known, much loved, very impressive structure, mostly preserved but that means you don't get close to it) with Avebury (bigger circles, stones were removed to build house, you can walk around it and touch stones).

Would be fascinating to see the different "Stonehenges" around the world.

In addition to the Maryhill WW I memorial, I've also been to Carhenge: http://carhenge.com. One of these days I'll have to get to the original (or at least most famous) one.
