Ask HN: What is the line 'Update' in Google webmasters search analytics page?

Hi, I run a content heavy site with more than a hundred thousand page in it. Google is still in the process of crawling the site.

Today in the search analytics graph page, I see a vertical line labelled 'Update' in the analytics graph image. It corresponds to the date July 31 2016. What does it denote?
