Our agreement with Türkiye does not cover seekers of political asylum, especially when they are naturalized citizens. Don't get me wrong, Gülen is a very dangerous Islamist and I would love to see him in prison for his crimes in the US and his part in this coup, but he also has all of the same rights and protections of any other US citizen. We will be demonized for giving him the same due process that Turkish citizens will not receive in this witch hunt.
