I actually discovered it from your post the other day, antirez. The CLI thingy. And I concur. It is a truly wonderful tool I will be using extensively: Docker inits, first N steps in spinning up an instance, setup devenv and build first "hello world," and much more ;)

It's really great, although I wish the overlay feature will get added soon: https://github.com/asciinema/asciinema/issues/105

I'm not so fond of the fact that recordings are served through ascinema.org. There are alternatives like ttyrec + tty-player that work just as well and don't depend on external servers.

They can be self hosted as a JSON file and use the open source JS library to embed it
