Well, aside from not actually being unanimous, doesn't this underline the falsity of the zero-trust claims about cryptocurrency? If there conceivably can be a community decision to fork, then you are essentially trusting the people involved in making that decision in exactly the same way as you trust policy makers in a typical fiat currency.
