Often, such proclamations are not noteworthy. However, if the speaker has been a long time user of xyz and a contributor to it, then the proclamation is noteworthy.

There's a small bit of irony here in that there was a rash of "Why I'm leaving X for Rails" posts between 2008 and 2012 or so.

Oh yes. I remember it well.

Oh, God, you're right. Sounds like my daughter on Facebook :-)
