Weight is a bad example. Weight alone is a terrible indicator of health. For someone suffering from an illness, gaining 20 lbs might be a return to normalcy.
It's also very dangerous from a mental health perspective to try to encourage a weight-loss program. Many people suffer from eating disorders that may or may not be under control.
