I'd be surprised if Bill Gates holds ill feelings towards Apple.

Well, when Bill was in charge of Microsoft, he had Microsoft invest $150MM in Apple, so.... I'm sure he could care less whether Berkshire Hathaway invests in Apple.

Bill and Buffett are smart enough to know you should keep investments and friendships as two different things.
