I don't laugh at every Mallard Filmore, but he still shows up in my Sunday paper.
It's more funny and provocative than most of the comics you see in newspapers, depressing enough. Compared to Mallard Filmore, The Family Circus, etc...
You would fire a long-time cartoonist because one cartoon wasn't funny, subtle, or provocative?
