So, I get that they're not giving you line items. What I don't get is why? Is there some competitive advantage or whatever that's causing the big players to lobby the government to prevent it?
It seems to me that, at some level, everyone already "has" their line items—just not in a convenient form, i.e. paper (or email) receipts.
Is there cost involved in getting them to people? Standardization? Legacy systems/formats/whatever in the way?
