[SERIOUS] Looking for a technical partner (full-stack) who wants to make $$$$

Yes, you read that right. It's Saturday night and I am looking for someone who knows how to code (back/front-end). HOWEVER, before dismissing this message for being too cliche/hackneyed/I hear this all the time, read on.

If you are skeptical about reading on, jump to the last line that talks about a referral bonus.

Read time: 3 minutes. Maybe less.

It may seem easy to find, but it's been a 1.5 year struggle to find this kind of person. I'm looking for a technical co-founder either for an app I'm working on -- OR -- I'm willing to start fresh with something new (but will probably continue working on this idea).

What should this person know how to do? Full-stack. That means website creation, mobile app development, back-end, and perhaps a bit of photoshop/inkscape/illustrator, etc.

HOWEVER, that is about 5% of what I'm looking for.

I don't care how good of a coder you are if you don't have discipline, motivation, and a strong inner locus of control. I'm sincerely looking for someone with character. Someone who won't give up. A person who has the resilience of an Ironman triathlete. You don't have to be the best programmer, but you have to be the most mentally strong person I've ever met.

And that's saying a lot.

Who am I? I'm someone with a lot of passion, resilience, and determination. I've made 20+ apps without writing a single line of code. I've failed many times. I used to work at NASA (if that means anything). I'm a pilot, Ironman Finisher, UI designer, 3-time spelling bee champ, medical school drop-out, and I tend to break the rules. A lot. Needless to say I'm good at sticking to something once I set my mind to it.

TL;DR: If you have a friend who is a) EXTREMELY driven, b) a full-stack mobile dev, and c) unbelievably resilient, send me a comment.

I'm sure the people who are reading this may not be the right type of people. But if you know someone, I will personally pay you AT LEAST $1,000 in cash as a referral bonus.

How did you create 20+ apps without writing a single line of code?

I'm in the "I hear this all the time" category. Personally if somebody writes that they break the rules a lot it's a huge turn-off, because my business partners need to be professional and reliable. Living in in your parents basement and writing the post on Saturday night doesn't strike me as positive, I don't know why you'd mention that. Despite the many accomplishments you don't make a point of what you offer, unless it's app ideas, resilience and equity ... and that's exactly what I (full developers in general I think) hear all the time.

I came up with the ideas/sketched designs in InkScape/Illustrator [including transitions/gestures], then sent the instructions to someone offshore to put the apps together - anything ranging from simple workout apps to flight tracking apps with complex backends.

So, I can make apps [and have made countless ones that are live in the App Stpre], but can't make them well. Offshore developers aren't the easiest to work with and there's always a language barrier.

I'm good at marketing, ui/ux design, getting in contact with people, ASO, PR stunts, and being honest/transparent/working on teams. Another way to say this, I can do basically anything else besides program. It's my biggest weakness, and I'm looking for someone to fill in the gaps.

I don't know how else to say this. I'm not someone who has the next BIG idea. But I know how to execute a project from start to finish because I have done it many times.

I've been on hiring committees, founded a startup, etc. Very few folks pull off what you're looking for because it doesn't make sense for someone to spend 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 of their time in each of the app, web, and design categories. It is sort of a division of labor problem. I don't know how to make cheese, but I like good cheese and I buy good cheese using the dollars I've earned programming.

I'm a little curious about two things:

1. What would you be willing to pay that developer (a range is fine so that specifics are not mentioned) I have a gut feeling you're way under what you think this person should receive.

2. Why not divide the app and web work into three (or just two?) categories?

Read between the lines. This is clearly an 'equity' position.

1. I live in my mom's basement. But I know how to hustle. Well. For one of my apps I snuck through tsa at the airport to market the app. I've made the most bizarre promo videos. I know how to hack the iTunes/Google Play stores, among other things.

2. That's fine, as I know design/marketing pretty well. If you know how to make mobile apps at least decently well and know back-end, let's talk.
