Gridcoin

How is a link with 3pts, no comments and a website that is returning 500 still #16 on HN?

Sorry I know this is off topic and I would rather comment on GridCoin but I literally cannot access the site, there has been zero discussion and yet this still persists pretty high. Is it getting some hidden vote bumps or what?

I'm glad we're seeing more non-proof-of-work cryptocurrencies. PoW is an easy approach to take, but it destroys the planet (and apparently centralises control of a network into a few Chinese hands).
