What do you think of Udemy's change to their pricing structure?

That's a good question.

I blogged about that a few days ago: http://nickjanetakis.com/blog/recent-changes-to-udemys-prici...

The TL;DR is it's a step in the right direction. Their platform still has a lot of problems IMO, but at least it's improving.

Thanks for that. It's nice to read something with a broader perspective on the issues with Udemy.

I built a SaaS app with Flask....if I could turn back time, I would stop myself from using Flask.

Why flask and not bottle? I thought flask hadn't been maintained in a few years? Anyone know of a similar course for bottle?

Looking at github, they both seem to pretty much be in maintenance mode. Flask seems to generally be the more popular framework too.

Flask hasn't cut a release in ages, but is maintained. And the last release works just fine. More critically, all it's dependencies are maintained and fix a lot of issues for flask (e.g. Werkzeug, which does most of the HTTP handling).

(Seems like the next release is supposed to be the "magical" 1.0, and that takes a lot longer than expected to get right. Maybe this summer?)

Afaik Flask is actively developed, but you'll have to run it out of github rather than wait for "blessed" releases.
