Epic (in the context of Windows and software) is an electronic medical records company in Wisconsin. Might want to specify that this is Epic Games; that was confusing at first.
We've merged the comments from three different threads, and the title of this one no longer has "Epic" in it. Though I think someone else was complaining about "Tim Sweeney".
I would guess that if asked about "Epic" in the context of software, most people would guess Epic Games, and not the EMR company.
Really? Epic Games has 160 employees according to Wikipedia; Epic Systems has ~10,000.
I do happen to have worked in healthcare IT though.
Epic Games is the more well known entity. I've never heard of Epic the electronic medical records company.
I know people at Epic Systems and not at Epic Games, and I wasn't confused at all, especially with the context.
