Let's just summarize: - First apply, then wait for a phone call - Mystical phone call arrives days later - Re-enter same information you already entered - Get told registration is proceeding, accidentally close browser - No recover password feature leads to initial 2+ day delay - Beat head against wall asking why ec2-bundle-upload won't work with cryptic error - 2 days later, once off 'free' tech guy calls to explain that the account manager failed to mention you need a Beijing government issued license before you can even test private services (including S3 uploads of AMIs), and that instance-storage AMIs are unavailable (though this is not documented anywhere)

Honestly, such a waste of a week of my life. I hope the domestic competition kill them.
