Ask HN: Recommended reading for video streaming performance?

PHP programmer looking for tips on video streaming performance. I'm hoping to find some sage advice on the topic. Does HN have any recommended reading material or talks on the subject? I have heard increasing the burst on our CDN will help.

Current context: >Video content site >5000 some members streaming video daily >Lots of "seeking"
