exactly. I don't have a problem with opening the code to ensure the encryption is safe, but that doesn't mean to give everyone access for free.
And besides, I wasn't agreeing that it's a justifiable position, I was trying to highlight the confusion that arises when you use a term like "open source" (which doesn't have any moral backing, so "opening" the code may or may not make the software "open source").
