Maybe but I find VERY strange that he write about studies with beginners and Perl or Java: I doubt very much that making Perl easy to learn by beginners was a priority, and Java isn't a VHLL.. Now if he was making studies like this against Python, Logo (not BASIC: it's too old) then this could be interesting.
