If you're looking for a list of other clients some of the others ones include:

- Postico OSX - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/postico/id1031280567?ls=1&mt...

- JackDB (web based) - https://www.jackdb.com/

- SQL Pro for Postgres - http://www.hankinsoft.com/SQLProPostgres/

- PGAdmin - Slightly outdated but still feature rich and fully cross platform - http://www.pgadmin.org/

And of course there's always psql which is all CLI, but incredibly flexible.

To add my own daily use clients:

- PG Commander (free): a lighter version of Postico - https://eggerapps.at/pgcommander/

- Sequel Pro (donationware): a nice native GUI browser for MySQL - http://www.sequelpro.com/

Of course, when all else fails, you can always fallback to SQLDeveloper http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-develo..., install the postgres jdbc driver https://jdbc.postgresql.org/download.html and ease into Postgres with your usual Oracle client.

It's especially useful if you're already using it on your day/consulting job as it naturally blends into the environment.

- DBeaver: Supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, MongoDB, etc. http://dbeaver.jkiss.org/

pgweb is also nice: https://github.com/sosedoff/pgweb

I'm excited to see all the work that's going into tools to work with Postgres :)

This looks really quite nice, I wonder if I could swap out phppgadmin (used by some non-techie people) with it...

+1 for pgweb. Their one-click Heroku deployment makes it easy to spin a dyno for db monitoring

I use Aqua Data Studio - http://www.aquafold.com It has gotten pricier over the years but I spend so much time in databases that it is worth sticking with a familiar tool that does a lot across all the different databases my clients use.

Wow, Aqua Data Studio's visual analytics screen looks awfully similar to Tableau's: http://www.aquafold.com/aquadatastudio/diagrams/screenshot_v...

pgcli is a good terminal alternative for psql with better autocomplete and vi mode support

also, excellent, open source and portable pg (and mysql and mssql) client for windows:

- Squirrel SQL - http://squirrel-sql.sourceforge.net/
