Ask HN: Countries with the best VISA for IT workers?

Hello, I was just wondering, what countries have the best VISA for IT workers? In UK the Tier 2 is really good as the dependent can work / study (which is not possible in H1B for example). However you can't do any contract work and you have to be always tied to a sponsor.
