Is WebSummit a scam?

Our startup is young, and our hopes and motivation are high. We're in talks with big customers, and the next big step for us would be to get an investor on board. So we were really excited to go to Dublin to be part of the WebSummit with one of this rather small ALPHA Track booths to present our company to investors and journalists. But more and more it seems that this whole thing is a scam targeted and startups. Everything I read so far confirmed that. Has anyone had a good experience at the WebSummit? I really want to hear that there are some out there.

(If you are at the WebSummit come see us. We're Talk About Jack.)
