Erlang got it from Prolog and Prolog's been around since 1972.

We truly stand on the shoulders of giants.

Haskell and Erlang come to mind. They probably weren't the first either.

In python it is quite commonly used too.

Clojure idioms use it as well. Lots of languages do.
