Ask HN: What portable solar setup should I buy?

I want to buy a solar setup a portable solar setup to solve all my problems!

I'll take it to burningman to be able to power a relatively low power swamp cooler and to re-charge my laptop and phone. I travel a lot and, in combination with mobile data tethering, I want to be able to work from my computer for a few hours on a hike or whatever. /

I know there are complete "solar kit" systems for this but they can be expensive (~$700) -- the cheaper the better!

Anyone dealt with this and have suggestions?

Thanks!
