Why comics?
Word lists and grammar drills are easy to quit. A story you want to finish keeps you coming back — and that’s where the words actually stick.
The usual: isolated words
Flashcards drill single words with no scene around them. You memorise “der Bahnhof” but freeze the moment you need it in a real sentence, because you never saw it used.
German Comics: words in context
Every word arrives inside a scene you can see and hear. The picture shows the meaning, the English line confirms it, and the audio teaches you how it sounds — so it sticks.
Everything in the app
Read, listen, and let it play — all tuned for early German learners
100 illustrated A1 stories
Everyday scenes — ordering a coffee, catching a train, a first day of class — drawn as comics you actually want to read, not dry exercises.
German with English underneath
Every page shows the German sentence with an English translation right below it, so you pick up new words in context without reaching for a dictionary.
Autoplay & auto-advance
Let the app read each line in order and turn the page on its own. Tune the pause between lines, or keep narration playing while the screen is off.
Made for absolute beginners
Vocabulary and grammar stay firmly at A1 — short sentences, common words, and pictures that carry the meaning so you're never lost.
Reads offline
Once a story is on your device it plays without a connection — perfect for commutes, flights, and anywhere the signal drops out.
